4 parts icloud uses …

Had a quick glance over the smtp headers generated by icloud today.
I noticed four things there:

  1. Oracle Communications Messaging Server 7.0.5.36.0 64bit
  2. X-Proofpoint-Virus-Version: vendor=fsecure engine=2.50.10432:,, definitions=2015-12-18_04:,, signatures=0
  3. DHE-RSA-AES128-SHA (128/128 bits)
  4. X-Proofpoint-Spam-Details: rule=notspam policy=default score=0 spamscore=0 clxscore=1015 suspectscore=0 malwarescore=0 phishscore=0 adultscore=0 bulkscore=0 classifier=spam adjust=0 reason=mlx scancount=1 engine=8.0.1-1510270003 definitions=main-1512180176

ad 1: from the buying power, the history and deutsche telekom using it, I would be this is a safe bet on pimped sendmail on solaris.
ad 2: fsecure did secure apple as client *pun intended*.
ad 3: from my reading (no expert) this is ok, but no high-end cipher.
ad 4:proofpoint anti-spam is current SaaS, so if apple doesn’t have special contracts, there is a third party reading your mails already.
